I am always told that my passion—for life and photography—is contagious and makes being photographed not only easy, but fun and rewarding!
I create intimate photo documentaries with creativity and a teaspoon of relaxed posing. This means I get to know you and your family to capture moments as they unfold, and I add a little artistry or try a new idea when the moment is just right.
I shot my first wedding when I was 14 (my mom had to drive me!) so I’ve had many years to refine my craft, including studies at Emerson College and the Massachusetts College of Art. When I’m not photographing, you’ll find me walking my corgi Stanley, giving talks about art, or teaching Kripalu yoga.
In August 2012 I married the love of my life—thank you Massachusetts and all the sensible folks that support marriage equality. In gratitude and solidarity I have a special offer for LGBTQ couples; please inquire.
You can peek at some of the incredible LGBT weddings I’ve been a part of on my wedding photography blog.
My couples tell it best!
Perhaps you’ll notice “creative,” “fun,” and “emotional” are the most common words couples use to describe their wedding photos (followed by gorgeous and romantic)!
“Maureen is an experienced photographer who brings both intellect and heart to her work.
I was blown away during the interview process by her detailed reflections on the techniques of wedding photography as well as her understanding of the role of the photographer and the photographs in the overall experience of the wedding. She was a joy to work with on our wedding day. And the photographs that we received from her were simply stunning.”
